Kerry Schoeman in the studio

Every pair is painted by hand. By me.

The Story

I’ve been drawing and painting since I was old enough to hold a pencil. It’s the one thing that has followed me through every season of my life — through school, through raising kids, through everything in between. Somewhere along the way it stopped being just something I did and became something I couldn’t stop doing.

Dead Sole Society is where the obsession finally meets the world.

I paint sneakers because they’re wearable canvases — art that gets carried into stadiums, streets, and moments that matter. And I paint them for the obsessed: sports fanatics, cult fandom collectors, gamers who know every Easter egg, people who understand that limited means limited.

Every pair I paint is numbered. Every pair is unique. Every pair is gone forever once sold.

The Craft

Each pair takes weeks. Not because painting takes that long — because thinking does. Every drop starts with a concept: what does it feel like to be this kind of fan? What details would only the diehards notice? What Easter eggs would make someone gasp?

Then the painting begins. Professional art-grade acrylics, layered and sealed with commercial-grade sealants designed to last. Painted to your specific size after you order — not mass-produced upfront.

The result is a pair of sneakers that could sit in a gallery or walk into a stadium. Both are the point.

What You Get

  • A hand-painted pair of premium sneakers, designed around a specific fandom
  • Numbered edition — your pair is stamped with its number in the drop (01/10, 02/10, and so on)
  • Certificate of authenticity, hand-signed

Each drop sells out and never returns. When a pair is gone, it’s gone.
